We were kindly sent the BubbleBum inflatable car booster seat for Darian to test and review.

BubbleBum is suitable for use from 4-11 years for children weighing 15-36kg – Darian is 8 years old and weighs around 25kg.

It is fully crash tested and exceeds US and European safety regulations.

It can be folded up and put into it’s drawstring carry bag and stowed away in the glove compartment or boot of your car when not in use, it is small enough to put in your suitcase for use on holiday and to keep in your bag for use in taxis and coaches.

When you need to use BubbleBum, just remove it from the carry bag, unfold it and inflate it with a few breaths of air into the twist to open and close valve that is located on the top right hand side of the seat.

The seat features two lap belt guides and a shoulder belt guide which can be adjusted to ensure that the adult belt sits in the correct position on your child’s body.

Darian says the BubbleBum is comfortable to sit on and he is so happy with his BubbleBum sunglasses, microfibre towel, swimming goggles and swim bag that came with his BubbleBum in the ultimate bundle.

Overall I am impressed with the quality of the seat and would recommend it for occasional use for holidays, taxis, coaches or when it is not possible to use a full size highback booster seat or when one is not available such as in a childminder’s car or when there is not room because of other child carseats already in the car.
