We were kindly invited to review the Bee-Ball Compact Basketball Stand and Lusum basketball from Big Game Hunters – The Play Experts.

Darian has been playing basketball for a year now, in an after school club called Hotshots. When I told him that he was getting his own basketball stand and ball for the garden, he was so excited!

Luckily for Darian the parcel arrived two days early which meant Garry and I could set it up over the weekend for him.

The whole assembly process took about 2 hours from start to finish, the instructions were very useful and everything was fairly straightforward.

The assembly went as follows…

Step 1 – Attach the net to the hoop, then attach the hoop and the top pole to the backboard.

Step 2 – Attach the top struts to the backboard and to the top pole.

Step 3 – Attach the bottom pole to the base by sliding the metal bar through the base, wheels and top pole holes.

Step 4 – Attach the bottom struts to the base and the bottom pole.

Step 5 – Attach the middle pole to the bottom pole, then attach the top pole to the middle pole.

Step 6 – Make the base heavy by filling it with water or sand, this ensures that the stand won’t fall over in the wind.

The Bee-Ball Compact Basketball Stand is now complete!

We chose a Lusum size 5 basketball to go with our stand, which is suitable for ages 7-11 years. There is a handy guide on The Play Experts website to help you choose the correct size ball for your child.

The Lusum ball is good quality and easily inflated with a ball pump (not included) and should last Darian for quite some time to come.

Darian loves his new basketball stand and ball and has been showing us all his amazing tricks and skills.

The Bee-Ball Compact Basketball Stand is strong, sturdy and stands at 2.1m at it’s lowest setting and adjusts to a huge 2.6m in height, allowing it to grow with Darian well into his teens.

I’m so glad we were given the opportunity to review this product and I’m sure it is going to remain a firm favourite in our garden for many years to come.
